The apartments’ location offers direct access to the best of Tatra nature and modern recreational centers. In addition to classic high-altitude hiking and skiing in the Tatras, the popular Bachledova Valley and the Jasná resort in the Low Tatras are nearby.
Adrenaline and adventure lovers will appreciate the proximity of Slovak Paradise with its waterfalls and via ferratas, or the pristine Pieniny National Park, where you can experience traditional whitewater rafting on rafts or kayaks. After an active day in the mountains, the region also offers relaxation at the Poprad Aquapark, which is just a few minutes away.
When the snow falls, Veľký Slavkov is exactly where you want to be. Tatranská Lomnica, the largest resort in the High Tatras, is just a few minutes’ drive from the development. Here you’ll find slopes stretching from Skalnaté Pleso down to the valley, modern gondola lifts and a snow park for all ability levels. Above Štrbské Pleso, you’ll find runs steeped in the history of the World Championships and views you won’t see anywhere else in the Tatras.
For a more relaxed skiing experience, you don’t have to go far. The family-run Greguška in Dolný Smokovec is literally just round the corner, whilst Lopušná Valley offers peaceful slopes and a children’s snow park. Cross-country skiers will enjoy the groomed trails at Štrbské Pleso and the Tatra Highway, whilst children will love the toboggan run at Hrebienok. You can therefore enjoy the winter season to the full without having to spend half a day in the car.
The area surrounding the project is distinguished by its rich cultural heritage and the lively atmosphere of the nearby towns. Just a short distance away lies the historic center of Levoča and the picturesque town of Spišská Sobota, both steeped in medieval architecture. Thanks to its convenient location near the border, opportunities also open up in neighboring Poland, whether it’s the vibrant town of Zakopane with its ice mazes and renowned promenades, or the royal city of Kraków.
The location of the Tatra Houses project thus represents the ideal intersection between peaceful mountain seclusion and proximity to Europe’s cultural capitals.
